Giving a client access to their portal

What a client can and cannot see, and how to set one up.

3 MIN READ

Setting one up

  1. Go to Admin, then Clients.
  2. Add the client and attach the sites they are responsible for.
  3. Create their login and send it to them.

What they can see

  • Coverage hours at their own sites
  • Patrol reports and daily activity logs
  • Incidents you have chosen to share with them
  • A way to request extra coverage or a service visit

What they cannot see

  • Where any officer is. No live map, no location history, ever.
  • Anything belonging to another client, including the fact that other clients exist
  • Your staff records, your rates, or anything about how you run the business

A client is the only person outside your company we ever show anything to, so the portal is deliberately narrow. They can see that the work was done and raise requests. They cannot change anything operational.

Deciding which incidents to share

By default an incident is internal until you mark it visible to the client. Judgment call: a broken gate is worth sharing, a dispute between two of your officers is not.
