Adding officers and sending invite codes
How officers join your company, what an invite code does, and what to do when someone leaves.
How an officer joins
The officer's account is now tied to your company. They see only your sites, their own shifts, and the calls assigned to them.
- In Admin, then Guards, add the officer with their name and badge number.
- Generate an invite code for them.
- Send them the code and ask them to download Apeiron CAD from the App Store or Google Play.
- They open the app, choose to join with a code, enter it, and set their own password.
Why codes instead of open sign-up
Anyone who downloads the app can open it, but without a code from you they cannot get into your company's data. There is no way for a stranger to find your company and request access.
When someone leaves
Do not delete them. Mark them inactive in Admin, then Guards.
Deleting a person would take their history with them, and that history includes signed reports and patrol records you may need later. Marking them inactive stops them signing in immediately while leaving the record intact.
An officer who has left keeps no access to anything. Inactive means signed out and locked out, not merely hidden.
